We had such a fun day yesterday celebrating Chase's 1st birthday superhero style! His super talented Auntie Angie made Chase, Nate, and Chase's friends superhero capes. They all looked so stinking cute.

I don't know how it has happened, but somehow an entire year has gone by since we had our little Chase. I know every parent probably feels similarly, but I am shocked at how quickly this year went by. I cannot put into words how much I have treasured each day I have been so lucky to have with Chase. He is such a blessing to us, and I feel honored to be his mom.
Tomorrow marks one year since we met our little guy, and what a wonderful year we have had. It was full of fun, a lot of learning, fear, love, and whole lot of hugs and kisses. If this year with him is any indication of how wonderful the rest of our lives will be together, I can't wait!
I love you Chase, and I wish you all the happiness your little heart desires. Happy Birthday!!!!

For Nan
Dear Nan,
My mommy told me how much you miss me, so I wanted to tell you all of the fun things I have been up to lately! I have been learning something new everyday! It has been warming up here and I was finally able to go outside and play in the grass. I had a lot of fun, but the cars driving by were big and scary! I crawl all over the place, mostly trying to get things I shouldn't like cords, lamps, or Macey's water bowl. After a day in my life of crawling, playing, and fun, I am so tired that I fall asleep sitting up. My mommy and daddy think I am the best thing there ever was, but they may be biased. I cannot wait to see you in a couple of weeks! I miss you, and love you Nan!

Awesome Possum
Whoever came up with that saying, "awesome possum" clearly has never had a possum living in their garage. Yuck yuck yuck. When we got home last night, this not so little creature was in our garage. He was very comfortable there, and it took a lot of manipulating to get him to leave. Thankfully the VanBibers were here and willing to help....because we all know I was not anywhere near this gross little thing. I didn't think it could have gotten much worse than the mouse problem of 07', but I think it just did!
