some blessings come in twos

When you have a child who is as adorable and fun as this... who wouldn't want another one, or two?

That's right, Chase is going to be a big brother, twice....we're having TWINS! We are beyond excited. We just had another ultrasound yesterday and they both looked perfect jumping all over the place, and continue to look healthy and strong. I'm in love. I never thought I could possibly love another human in the way I do Chase, but when I was watching them yesterday I felt my heart grow.
I am officially 12 weeks along. We are due in December, and hoping to make it to around the 10th. I have been super sick, super tired, and maybe a little bit cranky! But it is all worth it, all of it.

I can honestly say we could not have done it without these 3 women. We have to travel a long road to become pregnant, and they so willingingly made the sacrifice to come out and take over for me while I was unable. I cannot express how grateful I am to all of them.

Thank you for making the long road seem a little shorter, and the hard times seem a little easier- xox

I love comming to your house, thank you so much for letting me in! I am still pinching myself! Twins! Whooptedoo!
Everyday that passes is another assurance things are going well.
I am grateful to you for doing your best to take it easy. Letting things go, is not really your strong point, however, you certainly have your prioroties straight. Oh, shuckydarn, housework takes a backseat to babies. Believe it. Hey, could you put one of those counting things on your blog so I won't drive you crazy asking how far along and how much further...
Love,
Dena

So proud of you babe! Twins are a big thing to have in common!! It's been so fun comparing already! Like morning sickness...you take one day at a time and you can't sweat the little things!
It will be an "instant family" and how wonderful after all you've been through. You've been a trooper to say the least. You know we're always here for you. Just think how excited those two little spirits are, just waiting to come and join your family...and they get to come together!!!
We love you tons! mom and dad

We are so glad that everyone is healthy and well. We think of you guys often and Caroline always says, "Di is so nice" or "That guy looks like Nate"...it's hilarious. Can't wait to see you guys in august and get rest and take it easy Di. Congrats!! xoxo

Oh my gosh Di, I don't check your blog for weeks and then I come on to read this great news. Wow! I am so happy for you guys. Twins are so much fun and so much WORK but boy do they grow up fast. When you have two little 19 month-old's telling you NO for the 100th time, it's very entertaining. I can't wait to read updates on your pregnancy, and I hope that things will continue to go well. I think of you guys often, and wish you the best of luck on the remaining years of Nate's residency. Can you believe that we are almost going to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Yeah, I can't wait to have a "real paycheck" This McDonald's wage is getting old. Hugs to you all.

Di, I wanted to tell you also that I was due with my twins on December 10th, and had them about a month early. Both babies were beyond healthy and were able to be discharged from the hospital after 24 hours. You will hear a lot of horror stories about twins. Everyone has to tell you about their cousin's wife's sister's nephew's friend who delivered twins and on and on.Just know that there are a lot of success stories as well.Another thing that was weird with my twin pregnancy was that it was beyond my easiest pregnancy. I didn't have to be on bed rest or anything which was a plus with two other kids at home. Hang in there.

What?!!! That's PERFECT! Oooohhh Diana, I'm sorry you're sick. But for a prize, you can do it, right? Nate, (exhausted resident, dad, church guy etc.)... scrub that toilet! Load those dishes! Oh don't forget...entertain that toddler! Ha ha! What a ride you guys--be sure to enjoy it :0)Congrats!
